New Commission
Here is my newest commission. His name was Jessie, and he was a rescue dog that lived with his adoptive parents for 15 years before he passed away. It has been completed in Pencil Crayon and is 11 * 14.
The Eyes Have It
Here is my newest equine themed sketch. As an artist, I see the eyes as the focal point of many drawings or paintings. Because animals don't communicate with us on the same level as other humans (it's true!!), they require other methods to demonstrate their issues, stresses, fears, and happiness. With horses, there is a lot of body language, however most of what you need to know can be found in that big brown eye in the sky!!
This piece I call "Strength and Wisdom".
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did in putting it on paper. Just click the pic...
approx 8 * 11 - Graphite
Dog Days of Summer
Remember those days with the new puppy? They never seemed to run out of energy, yet this image captures the pause of youth, the time that the body finally says "OK, lets rest!" It brings back memories to me of my childhood, laying out in the summer breezes, watching the clouds go by, while my partner in crime gathers a few moments of respite.
Close your eyes and listen to the sounds of a summertime breeze.
This piece is called "Sleepytime". I hope to have some Works In Progress loaded soon.
